Community Crisis Stabilization and Respite

Our Community Crisis Stabilization program is an alternative to inpatient psychiatric hospitalization. Located in a safe, home-like setting in a residential neighborhood, individuals can elect to participate in this program voluntarily through our Mobile Crisis Intervention.  Community Crisis Stabilization is designed to help adults (18+) who are experiencing a mental health crisis or urgent substance use concern. The program is staffed 24/7 and the typical length of treatment lasts no more than 7 days.

Community Crisis Stabilization provides structured programming such as group therapeutic support and individual counseling in a relaxed environment. Our multi-disciplinary staff includes psychiatric providers, milieu counselors, behavioral health clinicians, nurses, and certified peer specialists. We provide treatment planning, case management, medication evaluation and management, peer support, and recovery focused groups. This service can also be used as a step-down alternative from a hospital admission for an improved transition back into the community.

How to Access Community Crisis Stabilization

Individuals must be referred into the Community Crisis Stabilization program through Mobile Crisis Intervention. Please contact either the program directly or contact Emergency Services and request an evaluation. We also provide a Department of Mental Health (DMH) funded Respite Service for those who are already connected with DMH, which offers both an overnight site-based program as well as a mobile respite.
