Pandemic Sharpens National Focus on Mental Health Care

Despite the overwhelmingly negative consequences the pandemic has had on the physical, financial, and emotional health of the country, there is reason to be optimistic about our mental health.  With nearly everyone affected in some way and the traumatic effects expected to extend into the future, the stigma surrounding mental health appears to be receding.  Now people feel free – and compelled – to talk openly about anxiety, depression, and hopelessness.
