BOCK, FOUNDER AND CEO This strategic plan solely focused on Diversity and Inclusion iscritical to Riversides future.As we grow and evolve to meetthe needs of the many communities we serve, we have to bean exemplary representative of these communities.Thatmeans our workforce and our leadership must include peopleof color, people with lived experience, members of theLGBTQ+ community, people with disabilities andrepresenting all walks of lifein short, a workforce that lookslike and understands the people we serve.As Ive said manytimes in many venues, a diverse workforce is central to ourguiding mission and values.We want to be the employer ofchoice for anyone who wants to join us in meeting our mission.Scott M. Bock,We witnessed the death of too many Black people and too Founder and CEOmany people with disabilities at the hands of police in2020.The unrest that led to the growth of Black Lives Matter, the attack at a synagogue, the rise in anti-LGBTQ+ legislation, spurred us on to redouble our efforts to be the kind of supportive, inclusive, sensitive organization we aspire to be.But reaching vague goals isnt enough, so it was necessary to develop a formal plan, include the board of directors, leadership, and our employees in its development, and step forward with a vision and measurable benchmarks that will ensure Riverside continues to move closer to our goals.I pledge my full commitment to this vitally important initiative.3'
