Last fall, Riverside conducted our second Employee Engagement Survey to find out what we can do as an organization to continue to engage and inspire our employees. The Engagement Survey is a chance for our employees to provide us with important feedback—and they did! One of the top four areas employees identified as needing improvement was in creating opportunities for career development and advancement. As we work toward this goal, we are very pleased to announce a new service: Career Consulting.
Career Consulting will help employees develop and define a clear direction on how to advance their careers within Riverside. Open to all employees and interns, this new service is a way for us to further our commitment to professional growth and development. Employees can schedule confidential, personalized, one-on-one meetings with Hannah McLaughlin, Talent Acquisition Specialist, in person or on the phone. As a result, each meeting will result in an individualized plan which will map out career-building steps such as:
- Learning about opportunities within or outside of an employee’s current division
- Taking advantage of leadership development opportunities
- Attending specific Riverside trainings
- Using Riverside’s growing online learning service to cultivate new skills
