Riverside Community Care Receives Highest Accreditation

Riverside Community Care, based in Dedham, has been awarded the highest level of accreditation by CARF.  CARF has been the international accreditation organization for health and human service providers since 1966. CARF accreditation demonstrates Riverside’s conformance to internationally accepted standards and confirms that our programs and services are dedicated to continuous quality improvement, accountability for our performance through outcomes evidence, and monitoring the satisfaction of those we serve. This is the fifth consecutive Three-Year Accreditation for Riverside – quite an accomplishment! The accreditation team noted one particular quote from an individual served by Riverside, “Every community should have a Riverside”.

In the letter notifying Riverside of the decision, Brian J. Boon, President/CEO of CARF, stated, “This achievement is an indication of [Riverside’s] dedication and commitment to improving the quality of the lives of the persons served. Services, personnel, and documentation clearly indicate an established pattern of practice excellence.” Additionally, the official CARF report highlighted Riverside as an organization that” provides safe, therapeutic, and welcoming environments that are conducive to quality treatment and recovery programming.” Kathy Janssen, Director of Quality Management for Riverside was delighted with the decision, viewing it as “deserved recognition for our high standards and commitment to the wellness of individuals, families and communities.”
