Marsha Medalie to Retire After 30 Years

Riverside CEO Marsha Medalie will retire on June 30, 2024, with current President Vic DiGravio taking the helm as CEO on July 1 – carrying the Riverside mission forward for years to come.  Marsha shared her reflections in the following letter to the community.

Marsha MedalieDear Friends and Colleagues,

I am writing to share personal news. I will be retiring from my role as CEO at Riverside at the end of this fiscal year (June 30th). It has been an honor to lead such an exceptional organization, and as you may imagine, I have very mixed feelings about leaving. I am excited to have more time for doing the things I enjoy, but sad to step away from a job I love, an organization I love, and from the pleasure of working with so many wonderful, talented, and committed friends, donors, and colleagues at Riverside and other agencies.

In the almost 30 years I have spent at Riverside, I have always been proud to help lead such a vital, high-quality, and innovative organization. We have grown not just in size, but in the scope of our services and our capacity to provide the best, integrated care for the thousands of individuals, families, schools, agencies, and communities that depend on us. As I step down, I am so pleased to know that Riverside will continue to be the excellent provider that we are today: I am leaving Riverside in exceptionally good hands.

I am pleased that the Board of Directors has appointed Vic DiGravio, currently our President, to succeed me as CEO. Knowing Vic will be leading our organization, and knowing what a strong leadership team we have in place across our divisions and departments, as well as a knowledgeable and supportive Board of Directors, enables me to feel very confident that Riverside will continue to be a leader in behavioral health and human services in Massachusetts and beyond. Our mission will be carried on for many, many years to come.

Thank you for your support for Riverside and for me over the years, and thank you in advance for your future support for Vic and Riverside’s mission.

Best,

Marsha Medalie

CEO, Riverside Community Care
