We believe in the power of collaborative care. 6 7 Coming Home Sarah Macri, a member of Riverside’s leadership team, joined other staff and families to welcome three individuals with acquired brain injuries into their new home. In her words: “The apartment is decorated, coffee brewed, sandwiches and treats laid out – now we wait for the gentlemen to come see their new home! The staff team and the individuals moving in are excited to see the next step in their journey of recovery from a brain injury. The smiles, the thumbs up, the nerves at times, were palpable. These folks moving in have spent far too many years in long-term care facilities, where they were too young and just did not belong. We all felt the joy and anticipation of taking these next steps toward independence with them.” We work with adults with a wide range of needs and goals – Riverside takes a person-centered, strengths-based approach to all levels of care, and we provide a safe, caring, and accepting environment for each person we serve. “These are the moments we hope for... this is why we do what we do!” – Sarah Macri, AssistantVice President Developmental & Cognitive Services
