While many of our programs help individuals address co-occuring conditons and the intersection of mental health and substance use, these services are tailored specifically to people seeking support for substance use disorder.

At Connect2Recovery, each individual’s journey leads the way. Staff proudly walk alongside individuals with mental health challenges, addiction disorders, or co-occurring conditions on their chosen paths to recovery. Our person-centered, strength-based approach helps people reach their unique wellness goals and connects them to community resources. Each person’s integrated circle of care may include a:

A Personalized Path to Recovery

Eliminate barriers to well-being with a unique Recovery Wellness Plan. Our compassionate staff partner with the people they serve to develop a personalized blueprint designed to remove treatment obstacles and help people achieve the goals most important to them. A Recovery Wellness Plan may include:

• Forming community connections

• Improving physical and emotional health

• Receiving education

• Finding suitable housing

How We Help

A balanced approach to wellness drives lasting recovery. Connect2Recovery empowers individuals with the skills to:

  • Connect to health providers and peer recovery resources including AA, NA, SMART recovery, DRA, DCF supports, and peer recovery centers
  • Develop social connections with the recovery community
  • Access crucial resources including therapy, Medication Assisted Treatment, financial supports, and SNAP benefits
  • Establish tools for self-efficacy, conflict reduction, and personal advocacy
  • Create a successful wellness routine following an inpatient psychiatric stay, or prevent an inpatient experience altogether
  • Remain accountable and motivated through peer support and guidance
  • Explore new pathways of recovery to discover what works best
  • Obtain support in managing legal proceedings, drug court, and probation

Eligibility Requirements

Connect2Recovery supports individuals with diagnosed mental health challenges, addiction disorders, or co-occurring conditions meeting one or more of the following eligibility criteria:

  • An inpatient stay (detox or other) in the past 180 days
  • Multiple crisis responses or emergency department visits in the past 90 days
  • Barriers to behavioral health or medical services
  • Pregnancy or postpartum (up to 12 months, both partners eligible)
  • Loss of either employment, housing stability, or family support
  • Change in medication-assisted treatment (MAT) protocol
  • Incarceration

Free Recovery Coaching in Norfolk County

Riverside’s innovative NC-8 Recovery Coaching Program connects individuals with substance use challenges to trained peer support professionals from our Connect2Recovery program. Through partnerships with local governments, this program is available to residents in the following seven Norfolk County towns at no cost, regardless of insurance status.

  • Walpole
  • Wellesley
  • Westwood

NC-8 Recovery Coaches provide compassionate, personalized guidance rooted in real-world experience rather than clinical expertise. This peer-to-peer model creates authentic connections that reduce stigma and isolation while fostering hope and accountability.

Compassionate Care for Co-Occurring Conditions

Riverside’s Structured Outpatient Addiction Program (SOAP) is a short-term, intensive day treatment program designed to support recovery from substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions. Operating entirely virtually from our Lynnfield Outpatient Center, SOAP provides compassionate, comprehensive care for adults 18+.


Comprehensive Services Include:

  • Biopsychosocial assessment and personalized treatment planning
  • Group counseling co-facilitated by clinicians and recovery coaches
  • Individual counseling
  • Discharge and aftercare planning
  • Recovery coaching and peer support

An Experienced, Interdisciplinary Team

Program participants will receive warm guidance and practical recovery strategies from an integrated team with complementary skillsets. Clinicians and peer support staff honor each individual’s unique experiences to provide the personalized care needed for sustained wellness.
