A vibrant new mural titled “Through Connected Dreams” has been unveiled at Riverside’s Scott M. Bock Center at 117 Summer Street in Somerville. The mural transforms the facility’s ground-floor hallway into a calming oasis of warmth and color.

Featuring dandelions that transform into stars, the mural prioritizes motion and flow to visually assist individuals moving through the space from one end to the next. Its uplifting design and soothing imagery create a welcoming environment that captivates people served and staff as they pass through the hall.

The Healing Power of Art

The mural not only looks beautiful, but it also serves a valuable purpose. Art can enhance our well-being by improving moods, reducing anxiety, and providing a welcome distraction from life’s challenges. “Through Connected Dreams” uses soft blues and gentle greens common in healthcare settings to foster a positive atmosphere conducive to healing. Just looking at pictures of this mural might make you feel a little better!
