The need for our services is greater than everover a third of all Americans have reported new or worsening mental health challenges, and the rate is even higher for teens and young adults. In the first year of the pandemic, Riverside provided 10,000 more outpatient therapy and medication management appointments than during the previous year. At the same time, a nationwide workforce shortage impacting all sectors is a major challenge for behavioralhealth and human service organizations seeking to meet the surging needincluding for Riverside.Last year, we also faced the heartbreaking loss of Riversides founder and longtime CEO, Scott M. Bock, who died in August. He was a beloved colleague, mentor, and friend to many and a visionary leader for Riverside and community-based behavioral health and human services.
