b'CONNECTED FROM THE CEODear Friends:Its hard to put it all into words. Spring arrived with COVID-19suddenly disrupting the way we live our lives and threatening to upend Riversides delivery of services at a time when people needed us more than ever. In response, we literally transformed how we provide our services to continue to meet the needs of thousands of people. Proven safety protocols, telehealth, and new ways to use our buildings helped us balance safety and services. We even opened several new programs and began planning for post-pandemic services. And on May 25, the killing of George Floyd sparked national outrage and led to public protests throughout the country. We, too, had to learn from this tragedy. Riverside initiated an organization-wide conversation to look deep within, facilitated by our Manager of Diversity & Inclusion. As we work to make a difference in peoples lives, we have rededicated the organization to respect, equity, and the engagement of those we serve and our employees.Throughout the year, I have been so moved by the commitment of our employees, the resilience of people we serve, and the support we have received from friends like you.You make our behavioral health and human services possible for thousands of children, families, and adults in Massachusetts, and you help to strengthen Riverside at a time of great challengethank you all! With gratitude,Scott M.
