Meet Our Team
John Bonasia, MA
John is a Master’s level clinician who embraces a humanistic approach in his therapy, centering around the needs of the individual. John is attentive, flexible, and utilizes a holistic practice of CBT and DBT skills, expressive therapies, and mindfulness to help clients to achieve their goals. John has years of experience assisting adults with anxiety, depression, substance abuse, and trauma one-on-one, as well as in group therapy settings. John earned his Master’s in Professional Counseling at Lesley University and received his BA in Psychology from Boston University. Outside of the office, you may find John playing guitar, painting, cooking, or woodworking.
Dr. Robert Elswit
Robert graduated Downstate Medical School in Brooklyn, NY in 1980 and then completed his residency training at NYU-Bellevue Medical Center in NYC in 1984. Since then he has worked in a variety of outpatient clinical settings, primarily doing psychiatric evaluations, psychopharmacology, and crisis intervention. Louis Galex, LMHC
Louis is a licensed mental health counselor and is an outpatient clinician in Lynnfield Outpatient Center. He earned his Masters of Sports Psychology and Masters of Arts in Professional Mental Health Counseling from Argosy University Phoenix Campus in 2003 and 2009. Louis works with adolescents, young adults and adults but his primary focus in developmentally delayed individuals, sport/professional performance anxiety, and anxiety related disorders. His training includes DBT, Exposure Therapy, CBT, and Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy. Louis’ mindful and gentle approach with his clients allows him to assist clients in making changes within their lives. Louis blends cognitive behavioral therapy, DBT, motivational interviewing and mindfulness. Lisa Kelley, MA, LADC I, CADC-II
Lisa has over 16 years of experience as a mental health counselor and has worked in a variety of settings including residential, day treatment, and outpatient clinics. Lisa currently provides individual counseling primarily for adults and is the program director for the Driver Alcohol education program for first time offenders of DUI. She received her master’s degree in Applied Developmental and Educational Psychology from Boston College and is licensed as a substance abuse counselor. Lisa believes that using multiple therapeutic models and a person-centered approach are important components in effective treatment. She focuses on providing a supportive and relaxed environment for her clients and believes in using one’s spirituality as strength within the therapeutic process. Outside of the office, Lisa can be found doing photography, cooking, gardening and other outdoor activities.
Donna M Macdonald, LSW
Donna graduated from Cambridge College with a bachelor degree in Human Services and became a licensed social worker with the MA Association of Social Work Board in 2015. She has been an Outreach Specialist providing Therapeutic Training and Support with the In-home Therapy program since 2009. In addition, she is a facilitator of the Drivers Alcohol Education program for first time DUI offenders. Donna was one of the founding members of the Melrose Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition and is now on the Leadership board of the Wakefield Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition.
Lori MacKenzie, LMHC
Lori is a licensed mental health counselor and has been practicing in Massachusetts since 1996. She earned her Masters degree in Counseling Psychology from Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary. Before joining Riverside Lori worked in a variety of settings including hospital inpatient, partial hospitalization, elementary school, residential, and private practice. Although she works with virtually every age and mental health challenge, Lori primarily sees adults and specializes in addictions, dual diagnosis, codependency, adult ADHD, personality disorders, and faith-based issues. Lori approaches therapy by placing emphasis on self-exploration as its own reward, leading to greater internal resources, increased confidence and resilience. In her spare time, Lori enjoys writing, crafting and being a wife and mom.
Alisha Moquin, LCSW
Alisha is a Licensed Certified Social Worker (LCSW), who has experience working with adults and adolescents from a variety of backgrounds, including religious minorities and the LGBTQIA+ community. Her specialties include trauma, grief and loss, and relationship concerns. Because every client is unique, Alisha uses an eclectic approach, incorporating motivational interviewing and CBT techniques into a person-centered, humanistic framework. She earned her Master of Science from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in 2012, followed by her Master of Social Work at Salem State University in 2018. In her free time, she enjoys reading science fiction and crafting.
Abigail Reynolds, LICSW
Abigail is a licensed clinical social worker with an educational background focused on cultural diversity. Abigail graduated from New Mexico State University in 2009. She strives to integrate a holistic style utilizing multiple treatment modalities, such as CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, play, and expressive art therapy for an eclectic therapy reflects the client. Abigail has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults, as well as providing therapy in a group setting. When she has free time, she creates jewelry, writes, makes homemade soap, and bakes.
Bonnie R. Spicer, LICSW
Bonnie is an independently licensed clinical social worker. She has been in the world of Clinical Social Work since 1987 in roles that have included program management, individual case management, hospital social work, substance abuse, brain injury, teen work, and department director. Working at Riverside Community Care has allowed Bonnie to work with individuals in a personal way, to help them succeed in their goals. She believes people want to be kind and healthy and that attending therapy is an avenue for them to be an even better version of themselves.
Bonnie believes the world is a beautiful place and likes to be out in it as much as possible no matter the weather or terrain.
Carly Tramontano, LICSW
Carly is an independently licensed clinical social worker. She earned her Master of Social Work from Boston College in 2015. Carly has experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families in a variety of settings. She utilizes play therapy, expressive arts therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, exposure therapy, and motivational interviewing techniques to meet the needs of her clients. Outside of work, Carly enjoys hiking, kayaking, cooking, and spending time with her friends and family.
