Emergency Services
This community-based service is available twenty-four hours a day, 7 days a week for psychiatric crisis interventions in our program's offices and in other community settings such as homes, schools and residential programs, as well as hospital emergency rooms. Services include psychiatric and substance abuse assessment, initial stabilization, referral for additional services as needed, and follow-up. More extensive services (up to 72 hours) are available to youth under 21 years of age who are covered by MassHealth insurance or are uninsured. The Emergency Services utilize a multi-disciplinary team approach to intervention and treatment and collaborate closely with other community resources. The program also provides services on behalf of Milford Regional Medical Center.

Outpatient Counseling · Medication Services Substance Abuse Counseling · Case Management ·
Our outpatient centers offer individual, group and family counseling, treatment planning and consultation, medication management, substance abuse treatment, and linkages with a network of services. Staff are expert at working with a broad range of individual and interpersonal difficulties, as well as more serious psychiatric issues. We accept a full array of public and private health insurance.

Community Crisis Stabilization/Respite
The community crisis stabilization programs offer an alternative to psychiatric hospitalization by providing assessment, treatment planning, case managment and other structured activities. This structured environment features a multi-disciplinary staff, including psychiatrists, nurses, Masters level clinicians and paraprofessional staff. Length of stay ranges from one day to two weeks.

Clubhouses
Clubhouses utilize the strength of extensive peer support and a rehabilitative environment to provide employment, social, and independent living experiences for individuals who have a history of mental illness. Clubhouse members and staff work together in all phases of clubhouse operations including business management and food service. The Clubhouse offers extensive employment placement services and on-the-job support.

Employment Collaborative

The Riverside Central Mass Employment Collaborative is a Riverside led partnership of provider organizations and state agencies working to improve competitive employment outcomes for individuals with disabilities in the southern half of the Central Massachusetts region. This cross disability initiative focuses on facilitating a more cohesive and collaborative approach to employer engagement and job development, broadening the types of employers and industries providing employment opportunities, and enhancing access to career oriented training and education resources.

Urgent Behavioral Health Care

The urgent care center provides emergency and routine evaluation, short-term counseling, psychopharmacological services, and referrals. The program is a unique partnership between Riverside and Milford Regional Medical Center designed to meet the needs of patients of the hospital and its affiliate, Tri-County Medical Associates, a large primary-care practice in the Blackstone Valley.

Trauma Response Services

The Riverside Trauma Center helps local communities, schools, government agencies, healthcare and human services providers, and workplaces cope with the emotional aftermath of traumatic events such as natural disasters, accidents, suicides, or homicides. Riverside’s trauma-response professionals stand ready to provide “psychological first aid” to individuals and organizations affected after a tragedy. Riverside also helps organizations plan their response to unexpected and traumatic events that may occur in the future.

The Trauma Center’s services include:

Immediate assessment, consultation and support
Group and individual meetings with those directly involved, including employees, students and community members
Referral to community resources

Riverside has provided trauma-related services since 1990, achieving a well-earned national reputation for excellence, and, most importantly, developing a team of highly trained and experienced trauma-response professionals. In the event of a crisis, first responders and authorized representatives can call Riverside 24-hours a day, seven days a week.

Child And Family Services

Services available to individuals of all ages include psychiatric and substance abuse assessment, initial stabilization, referral for additional services as needed, and follow-up. The Emergency Services utilize a multi-disciplinary team approach to intervention and treatment and collaborate closely with other community resources. The program also provides services on behalf of Milford Regional Medical Center. More extensive services (up to 72 hours) are available to youth under 21 years of age who are covered by MassHealth insurance or are uninsured. To serve these youth and families, Riverside uses a mobile team comprised of a Master's level clinician and paraprofessional staff. The team assesses the nature of the crisis, provides immediate intervention and referral and follow-up, as needed.

Home-Based Treatment Services
A team of specialists offer short-term therapeutic treatment options for youth residing at home, in residential programs, and in hospitals. Staff are mobile and work with a child and/or family for periods ranging from several weeks to up to six months providing screening and assessment, supportive counseling, intensive case management, outreach and education, respite supports and activities, and longer-term service support. Services may be coordinated with outpatient treatment, Riverside's Life Skills Center, emergency services, and other community resources.

Residential Programs
An extensive array of residential options, ranging from 24 hour staffed to semi-independent living situations are available. Residences are located in a variety of settings from apartment complexes to Victorian houses. These home-like settings provide a framework from which to support individuals with developmental disabilities to learn daily living skills, develop meaningful relationships, gain opportunies for community integration and inclusion, and achieve full community membership.
