School Based Services
Riverside partners with public schools to provide mental health and addiction treatment support to the students. We collaborate with school administrators, guidance counselors, teachers, and students to further enhance the school community by providing bullying and violence prevention trainings, depression screenings, and a wide array of mental health and addiction treatment services. We currently provide consultation, treatment services (including individual & group therapy), and home-based services within the Cambridge, Newton, and Somerville public schools. In each school, our team strives to help students gain perspective and focus on conflict resolution skills.
Additionally, we provide consultation to preschool and day care programs by providing support to the caregivers of young children. We offer staff consultation, classroom management strategies, and staff trainings about the social and emotional development of young children.
We are pleased to share comments from the people we serve:
"Family Partnership Services helped to keep my child home rather than being place in a hospital setting for a longer period. They helped us by providing coping skills and strategies."
